Grammar. I beg you. I can't understand a word.

Fixed. We do need more information on this person. I'm also looking for a person with better Chinese expertise to translate the quote for me; the approximate meaning which I managed to dig out of Google Translator and another translator is shown in the article. To all those reading this and all those Tibetan history enthusiasts out there, good luck! --ZhangYuu (talk) 21:40, 30 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

4th Taktra - Outdated link & question re source edit

The source at current footnote 3 no longer works. Fortunately, it was "crawled" several times by the Wayback Machine. This is the earliest, from October 18, 2006. The page is titled (in translation) as. "Living Buddha Dazza." This section of the article, 4th Taktra begins thus:

In 1955[3] (or 1954[4]), the 4th Taktra or Dagzhag ...[4]) born. He was recognized by the Chinese government and Dalai Lama in 1958[3] (or 1957[4]). His name was given by 14th Dalai Lama.** One or two years later, Dalai Lama fled to India.

I read the Google translation of the site & the two dates mentioned in that first paragraph - 1955 & 1958 - are verified. However, the source says nothing about him being recognized by the Dalai Lama. All it says is:

In 1958, he was recognized as the Living Buddha of Dhaza in Dhaza Sanglin Temple

The most recent page captured, on September 24, 2015 looks identical:

    • Note, there is no source for this claim. Ileanadu (talk) 19:54, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Does Taktra mean "Living Buddha"? If so, shouldn't the article indicate this? Ileanadu (talk) 19:55, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Title for reference of footnote 3 edit

At the top of the page there is a directory/mapping link: Location: Home > Topics > Culture > 2006·China Tibet Culture Week > Living Buddha Tibetan Scholar

So it appears that this article (the source) was something published for the 2006 China Tibet Culture Week.

And another question, if the title of this wikipedia article is 3rd Taktra why is there a section for the 4th Taktra in the same article? Shouldn't the article be something like 3rd & current Taktra. Ileanadu (talk) 20:04, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
