Commanding Officers edit
In the lead it states "The Battalion’s first, and only, commanding officer was Lieutenant Colonel Leslie Morshead" but in the Commanding Officers subsection it list both Morshead and Harold Fletcher White. This contradiction needs to be fixed. Abraham, B.S. (talk) 00:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Motto "Strenue Percute" edit
Currently this article says that the motto was adopted in 1927. However, the Lt Thomas Armstrong Memorial (built 1918) includes the crest and the motto "Strenue Percute", suggesting that the motto was at least in unofficial use prior to 1918. I also found this 1917 letter from Colonel Morshead in which he says 'The motto of this battalion is "strenue percute". Kerry (talk) 00:23, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- G'day, Kerry, I've added a short bit about this, with the newspaper letter as a ref. Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 03:26, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
