Group A: Netherlands v Romania issue edit

The two matches between the Netherlands and Romania in Group A resulted in a draw (1-1) and win for Romania (2-1). However, today UEFA have upheld a protest by the Dutch FA (KNVB) that Romania fielded ineligible players for both matches and thus have awarded both matches 5-0 to the Netherlands. Romania are appealing this ruling and the result of that is to be determined. The UEFA website has been updated with the awarded forfeit scores and a new table showing the Netherlands in second place on 6 points with Romania in third on 3 points. 195.27.17.2 (talk) 11:08, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
