Anchiornithidae is outside of Avialae edit

Regarding the dinosaur Fujianvenator, which I have noticed is in the bird part of the page, it is an anchiornithid, which is inside of non-avian dinosaurs rather than birds, albeit just barely outside of avialae. Why is it in the bird category rather than the non-avian dinosaur category? And why can't it be moved? (I noticed people reverted it) -jfraatz Jfraatz (talk) 17:28, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

The phylogenetic placement of Anchiornithidae is still debated. The authors of the paper describing Fujianvenator place anchiornithids as the basalmost avialan clade (see simplified cladogram below). I don't have a personal preference as to which section it belongs in either way, but for Wikipedia purposes, I think it's probably safest to keep it under "Birds", since that is what the authors suggest. -SlvrHwk (talk) 18:33, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
