Looks like the Dems will keep their majority in this chamber but lose many seats edit

Republicans at 34 seats so far, up six from last time Democrats at 46 seats so far, down six from the last election cycle.

Difference between seat allocation and popular vote edit

How did the Republicans manage to narrowly win the popular vote by 10.000 votes as of 11/14 but lose the chamber still 34 to 46 in terms of actual seats?

The election is organised via first past the post, not a proportional system. Look up their caracteristics--Aréat (talk) 00:08, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I know but usually Republicans seem to benefit from the FPTP system and perform better than the popular vote would suggest.

Popular vote edit

How is the popular vote 2,000,000+ on both parties, but the governor and legislature election didn't have nearly the same amount of votes. Trent931 (talk) 04:44, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Question still stands WikiFazBear1984 (talk) 20:15, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
