Semi-protection request edit

I propose that this article be semi-protected for as long as needed. NASCAR season articles always tend to get crazy once they are created before the start of the season when all teams/drivers for the coming year haven't been announced yet. We have to do this to stop that. The 2021 Cup Series article is semi-protected until December 12, 2020 as of when I'm posting this. I think having this article semi-protected for that long would be appropriate at this time, and then we can see if it is needed after that. For one, this is not the place to put it. That’s WP:RPP. Number two, I’m guessing you don’t know a ton about RPP policies, but pages aren’t protected preemptively. From my experience, Xfinity pages draw loads less vandalism than Cup, making this a bit of a head-scratcher to me. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 04:19, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

AJ to drive No. 10 edit

In the Justin Haley contract extension reveal video, there is a No. 10 car in the background that seems to say "Allmendinger" on it (if not, something incredibly close). Does this count as proof? P.S. if you guys think that this is another troll, remember how Johnson's 2019 paint scheme was hidden in instagram photos. NASCAR Enthusiastnyoom 01:54, 23 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

If I think this is a troll, just remember how Kaulig had everyone believing that the Haley announcement was centered around Allmendinger. I bet they threw AJ's name on the 10 car to have some fun with people. It's not even a question, the name's blurred so you can't even definitely say it's "Allmendinger" and there are no reliable sources to prove that he will be in the 10 car next year.
