footballbox collapsible edit

@LTFC 95:, why do you replace the footballboxes which is used in many articles with wikitable?--Sakiv (talk) 00:43, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, please refer to the Manual of Style, which uses a wikitable rather than the collapsible footballboxes. The wikitable has been adapted to conform with general Wikipedia MoS. For some examples, see WP:HEADERS for the use of table captions and Accessibility which states "restrained use of color in tables, to avoid creating accessibility problems for visually-impaired as well as normal vision readers". The majority of past club season articles created in recent years were all by a single user who does not follow the Manual of Style and at no point has consensus been reached to use collapsible footballboxes over wikitables. Collapsible footballboxes also violate MOS:COLLAPSE. Guidelines are there for a reason as they are sets of best practices that are supported by consensus. If you feel that the Manual of Style needs updating to establish a single format across all club season articles, it would be best to raise this at WT:FOOTY to reach consensus. However, any proposals should conform with Wikipedia guidelines. I have only included some guidelines here and there are other relevant guidelines that should be considered.
I can see that you have moved the transfers section back above the match results section, however, the Manual of Style suggests the match results section should come first. You should therefore consider reverting your edit. LTFC 95 (talk) 07:00, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
You can read that it says the page is not a manuel of style but merely a proposal/suggestion. Proposal means that you are not obliged to abide by it. I also have a say in how the article should look like.--Sakiv (talk) 17:42, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
