Target Competition and Autodis Racing edit

This is a topic that needs some discussion and it's about the driver allocation in Target Competition. The team currently has five drivers - Josh Files, Dušan Borković, Mat'o Homola and the Bäckman siblings (Andreas and Jessica). The tricky part comes in the TCR Europe and TCR BeNeLux teams' standings - in TCR Europe there is only Target Competition in the standings (i.e. all five drivers) while TCR Benelux lists the entries of Files, Borković and Homola as Autodis Racing by Target Competition (these cars have the Autodis branding on the cars).
What should we do in the Teams and drivers and the Calendar and Results tables? Share your thoughts @CGM 20, @Link7344, @Poppo154, @NotJohnHindhaugh, @IMSA E320, @MaxVerstappen33, @PoWaiFung. Ivaneurope (talk) 06:59, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is indeed a complicated one, but since they all score team points for Target Competition in TCR Europe and three of them only score points in TCR Benelux as Autodis Racing by Target Competition. I think we should write both team names in the TCR Europe teams' championship table and just leave the teams and drivers table as is. We could also use a note in the teams and drivers table, if deemed necessary. These are my thoughts @Ivaneurope. CGM 20 (talk) 11:52, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Class tags edit

I want to clarify this - the only class tag in the Teams and drivers section should be to distinguish drivers that are eligible to score points in the TCR BeNeLux championship. The TCR Eastern Europe and Touring Car Trophy tags are redundant because:

  1. TCR Eastern Europe has its own race calendar from which only two races are held together with TCR Europe. TCR BeNeLux has all five races being part of the TCR Europe calendar as well
  2. The Touring Car Trophy race at Spa is non-championship race anyway and TCT drivers will not earn any points there. They're however eligible to score TCR Europe points.

Another thing I want to mention - foreign drivers that race for Belgian, Dutch or Luxembourgish teams by extension are also eligible for TCR BeNeLux points. This is the reason why Josh Files, Dušan Borković, Mat'o Homola, Santiago Urrutia, Ashley Sutton and Aurélien Comte are eligible for TCR BeNeLux. The same applies to the JSB Compétition drivers as the team also holds Belgian license, but since the TCR Europe website lists them as French team, the French flag should be used for JSB Compétition.
This is my stance. Share your thoughts CGM 20, @Link7344, @Poppo154, @NotJohnHindhaugh, @IMSA E320, @MaxVerstappen33, @PoWaiFung. Ivaneurope (talk) 11:12, 5 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I agree, the tags for TCT and TCR Eastern Europe are not needed and should be removed immediately. CGM 20 (talk) 07:18, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
