Do we include indirect elections?

Please do not remove East Timor

There is going to be an election in East Timor, and that info is properly sourced on the East Timorese parliamentary election, 2018 page, so please do not remove it.--Batmacumba (talk) 22:22, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

Ireland

Please stop the editing war over Ireland vs. Republic of Ireland and discuss it here instead. Ireland is the official name for the republic in English and its been used before (see the NEC for 2016), so I think we should use that. There is no need to use RoI for the republic as no one will conflate Ireland with Northern Ireland.--Batmacumba (talk) 10:49, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

• I agree. I first changed this this morning to Ireland, after noticing this was changed by an IP a couple of months ago. Just to comment, this is consistent with how elections and referendums in Ireland (the country) have been listed on the '16, '15, '13, '12 and '11 National electoral calendar pages for some time now. Additionally, for reasons that Batmacumba explains, this is consistent with the Manual of style for Ireland articles as Northern Ireland cannot be inferred from this context.
