Checking against the GA criteria edit

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
"such as the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom" - no need, I'm sure everyone knows where London is
"the closing ceremony of the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico" - remove 'Mexico' here as this is a repetition
Ref 45 has an external link in the publisher field
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
    No original research found.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

This article's attention to detail is impressive, and I could see no reason to put this on hold due to the lack of prose issues found. I've read through it twice and checked all of the sources I could access, but I couldn't find any problems with it. Therefore it meets the criteria, good work! I removed "United Kingdom" from the sentence that mentions London. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 03:26, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
