not up to date

Added comment:

The information in this article is very useful in understanding the events that led to the military coup. The constitutional court dismissed the elected parliament, rejected the law passed by the Shura Council that would have set new elections for June 2013, forcing postponement until October, and now (post coup) has canceled elections indefinitely. The head of the constitutional court now sits as interim president. In additional to a military coup, democracy in Egypt has also suffered a "judicial coup".

Number of seats?

The Egyptian parliament will have 596 total MPs, though only 568 will be elected (per [1]). Which number should we use for the section of the infobox (of each political party) that indicates how many seats that party holds? David O. Johnson (talk) 03:49, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Source of voting figures?

They were taken from the Arabic version of this page [2]; I added the refs and ran reFill to fix the bare URLs. David O. Johnson (talk) 01:11, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

First, I believe it is a rule that Wikipedia can't be used as a reference for itself. Second, I looked at both the references given by the Arabic page and neither of them contain the figures given here. I assume whoever added the figures to the Arabic Wikipedia got them from a media source which is not online. They don't come from the Egyptian government elections website, which has posted no figures. The figures are probably genuine, but they're not properly sourced and should be deleted.
