How to note endurance drivers

Hi all, I had a question regarding third and fourth drivers. Even though Max Angelelli is the only confirmed third driver so far, how should we denote them? I was thinking of using a italic then a superscript to denote the number of races. For example, Max Angelelli⁴ as well as italicizing the NAEC rounds in the schedule table.Gaeaman787 (talk) 21:48, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Article Name

I believe the article should be renamed to the official series name. That would be either the 'TUDOR United SportsCar Championship', or 'TUDOR Championship' as per the official IMSA guidelines ([1] p10). Either would match other motorsport series pages when they have a title sponsor (2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, 2013 Rolex Sports Car Series season). Bakkster Man (talk) 15:08, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

There was already a discussion on the main championship page. [2] The argument against such a change was that title sponsors come and go, and that USCC is the common name for the championship. There are several examples that I can think of that don't use the the title sponsor for the page title and simply use the common name, such as the 2013 British Touring Car Championship season not using the 'Dunlop MSA' in the page name. Other examples are the 2013 IndyCar Series season not using IZOD, and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón being shortened to the American Le Mans Series. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series needs to use the title sponsor to better differentiate from the Nationwide, and Truck series. JohnMcButts (talk) 18:15, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

We are applying the common name, which is usually sans sponsorship unless the sponsor is the full name of the series, such as the NASCAR Sprint Cup or the Rolex Sports Car Series, which have always had those names and there is no suitable common substitute. I suppose we need to wait a bit for the 'common name' to sort itself out. Personally, I see the "TUSC" abbreviation used more often, and find Tudor Championship less unwieldy. Bakkster Man (talk) 19:18, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

But that's within the article. The first sentence of the article will say "Tudor United SportsCar Championship", so that abbreviation matches with that. This is wholly different from the article title. The³5₉ (Talk) 19:38, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

2014 Daytona

Standings table(s)

I added the standings table to the page. I used the Grand Am style, as that seems to be how IMSA is scoring it (and it looked nicer than the AMLS table). I've included sections for the Teams and Manufacturing standings, but didn't fill them in so I kept them hidden. I chose to only use the top 5 positions in each class to save space, and cut down on the amount that this page relies on tables. I plan on adding the other drivers to the table but keep them hidden, and only show top 5 (eventually top 20ish as the season progresses). What do you think? Any ideas on how to improve it? I just had another thought. What should we do for results of the NAEC? IMSA seems to be making a big deal out of it, so it obviously noteworthy, but my concern is adding yet another table to this page. We could add a color variation to the table, similar to what the V8 Supercars does for it's endurance cup.

This still doesn't solve the issue of another table (the V8 supercars still has a 2nd). I suppose we could add two more columns in the table for "NAEC Position" and "NAEC Points", but I'm not sure that it's the right way to go. Any Ideas?JohnMcButts (talk) 00:46, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

It's fine to link to external pages as long as they are relevant to the discussion. That's a good example of what I was describing for the NAEC. It highlights the NAEC rounds in the main results table, but, as with the V8 supercars example, it still needs a second table to show the results on the 'special' rounds. The trouble is we have four classes with Drivers, Teams, and Constructors(not counting PC) and an incredibly long entry list table. I'm thinking we wait and see what IMSA does for their results page (when they get around to publishing it). JohnMcButts (talk) 02:06, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Prototype Differientation
