Footnotes

Seems like someone went to the trouble to mark a lot of footnotes at 2014_NBA_draft#Draft_selections, except I don't see any text for any of them. Here's the current version I'm looking at[1].—Bagumba (talk) 02:26, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Hey, I was the one who created those footnotes, as I was trying to convert the trades into tables for easier reading. Those footnotes are empty because it's only used for linking the draft selections to the trade details, similar to the footnotes on the 2011 NBA draft and before. However I just noticed that this footnote system doesn't work at all with mobile browser. Should I convert the trades into texts similar to 2013 NBA draft#Pre-draft trades? I really think we should find an alternative because text version of the trades are too long and difficult to read as a section, but it works well with the footnote system. Right now I'm trying to find a solution to still use the tables and have a working footnote. Any ideas? — MT (talk) 03:53, 28 June 2014 (UTC)

Requesting edit from confirmed user

The sentence, "this is the third time in last 11 drafts that they will make the first overall pick" in the introduction should read "fourth time in the last 12 drafts". The source in question is implying that Cleveland had the top pick three times in the 11 drafts preceding 2014. Therefore, in 2014 they will make the first pick for the fourth time since 2003. Ceremonial Pick by the NBA

This is a list-class article. Lists cannot be good articles. Recommendation is to move to featured lists, or get reclassified as an article before going to good articles.

At first I thought this was a borderline case, but in reality draft articles are ones that should go through FLC, even if there's more prose than usual. In this case I don't think there's such a large amount as to suddenly call it an article, so I'm going to remove the tag from the page. Wizardman 14:19, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
