Electoral system edit

Voters can vote for one party and/or one candidate of that party. (art. 178.1) Only parties with >3,5% nationally can earn seats. (art. 208) Within each district, seats are apportioned over parties according to a simple quota largest remainder system (art. 212) - the quota being the number of votes for parties passing the 3.5% barrier divided by the number of seats to be apportioned (art. 209) - and within each party to the candidates with the most personal votes. (art. 215) DPD elections are by SNTV. (art. 178.2 and 216)

The electoral law can be found in English translation at [1] (idem for the districting and apportionment of seats: [2]) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bancki (talkcontribs) 15:23, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Opinion polls edit

This is quite a large section in an article that is only get to get longer - especially if the ongoing legal challenges to the results get messy. Would it be a good idea to replace this section with a shorter summary? I would go ahead and do it, but quite a few people have put a lot of work into that table, so I don't want to delete it without asking first... Davidelit (Talk) 06:11, 12 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
