The Championship began on 17 September 2011 and ended on 30 October 2011. O’Loughlin Gaels were the defending champions, however they were defeated in the semi final by Ballyhale Shamrocks. Clara were relegated from the championship following 0-15 to 0-14 defeat to Tullaroan. Danesfort were promoted to the 2012 Championship after defeating Rower-Inistioge 2-11 to 0-11 in the 2011 Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship Final.
