"First party" and "second party" edit

I don't think that this is a useful infobox because it's rather meaningless. There were only 5 seats up for election, and whilst the KMT won 3 as opposed to the DPP's 2, the DPP won more votes. So I will remove it from the article.

If people insist that it must stay, I would suggest that the DPP should be shown as the "first" party given that it won more votes nationally. John Smith's (talk) 18:57, 27 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Agree Yes, it is not very obvious who the "first" party is or who the "second party" is. [Though a recent UDN poll apparently indicates that about thirty something percent of the population believe that it was the DPP that "won"; whilst a twenty something per cent believe that it was the KMT that secured "victory".]
One thing though - despite the fact that the Central Election Commission clearly name the base level chiefs "village chiefs", it should be in fact "ward chiefs" due to the fact that all divisions below that of "districts", "urban townships" or "county-controlled cities" are "wards" - you can look that up on the Ministry of the Interior website, which has a section dealing with the elections at each level too.
