What is the source for the party identification of candidates given in this article? No party identifications are given at the Tongan news source provided. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 10:05, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Political parties aren't formally recognised in the Tongan political system, so there's no mention in the official results. So instead party affiliations have been identified through other media sources. Those labelled as PDP are sourced from here. The PLT leader is identified here. The HRDM are identified from other media releases (), from the official Parliamentary website, and from the source for the 2005 results. I understand that this can lead to errors (particularly in light of the HRDM split), but there's no other way at the moment. IdiotSavant (talk) 11:35, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Sevele

It is not true that "All nine incumbents stood for reelection, with six retaining their seats." Prime Minister Feleti Sevele, who was (re)elected to Parliament in 2005, did not stand for re-election in 2008. The article on the 2005 election shows him being elected, and this one shows him not being a candidate; Wikipedia is contradicting itself.
