Dates edit

It does not make sense to include the pre-season draft taking place before the 2006 season on the same page as trades and the national draft occurring after the 2006 season. The only reason to validate doing this is a pedantic adhesion to dates specified by the AFL.

I suggest that drafts be re-organised by off-seasons, so that each preseason draft is matched with the national draft from its offseason. This would make more sense to fans. The pages could be renamed, for example, the 2006/07 AFL Draft, and then the correct names given by the AFL, e.g. 2006 NAB AFL National Draft, would be used as sub-headings.

I just wanted to discuss this to see if there was any particular reason why the drafts are organised as they currently are. Aspirex 10:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think you would be better to raise your point at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject AFL to reach the broader AFL-focussed group as not everyone has each Draft article on their Watchlist. Pudgey 20:34, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
