GA Nominee edit

This article's Good Article promotion has been put on hold. During review, some issues were discovered that can be resolved without a major re-write. This is how the article, compares against the six good article criteria:

  • Well written?:
  1. lead sections
  2. layout
  3. jargon
  4. words to avoid
  5. fiction
  6. list incorporation
  • Broad in coverage?:   This article is well broad in coverage.
  • Neutral point of view?:   The article counts on a very good neutral point of view.
  • Stability of the article?:   Not the subject of any recent or on-going edit wars.
  • Images?:   The deficiency of images is not a step/criteria of fall. Anyway, the images have a very good quality and a Fair Use Rationale template.

Please address these matters soon and then leave a note below showing how they have been resolved. After 48 hours the article should be reviewed again. If these issues are not addressed within 7 days, the article may be failed without further notice. Thank you for your work so far. Macys123

I would also suggest writing some of it in an active voice. Limit the use of words like 'occurred' and 'was', and try some different verbs. It's very good practice.
Also, this article was next on my list for satellite images, so I'll eventually have AVHRR images for all of them. Good kitty 20:15, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks and I have fixed much of it to the active voice, hope this fixes the words to avoid problem. Hello32020 22:15, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am glad to report that this article nomination for good article status has been promoted. Macys123 19:48, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Infoboxes edit

I'll convert this one later. It's going to take a lot of work because of all the references within the parameters.Potapych (talk) 02:48, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Main Article Link for Kristy edit

Is there a reason that the "see also" button for Hurricane Kristy is the article about Hurricane Debby (1988)? Is it a mistake? It seems that Kristy has no relation whatsoever with Debby, but Debby's remnants are related with TD Seventeen-E. 64.183.42.55 (talk) 17:34, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Theres a slight link as Kristy and Debby were in the same tropical wave.Jason Rees (talk) 18:15, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
It is linked there because they combined to result in flooding in Mexico. YE Pacific Hurricane 19:30, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Great late July/early August storm outbreak edit

I posted an image on facebook detailing the ridiculousness of the August 4, 1988 12z satellite image, which detailed the seven current/past/future systems...five of which were in the northeast Pacific (two were near the Gulf and Southeast coasts of the US). Let me know if you wish to include it into the commons...it is from two days after the one used in the summary section. Thegreatdr (talk) 01:49, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Add it. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:45, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
