upset? edit

It is considered one of the greatest upsets in college football history.

This may be true, but I think this needs a citation from a source other than the winning team's alumni association. Cmprince 23:35, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Should this be called Washington vs. Oregon State as the Huskies were the home team? Group29 (talk) 21:50, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Michigan State was the home team in the 1966 Notre Dame vs. Michigan State football game article. I think that is the way it is supposed to be. VegaDark (talk) 22:11, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nine snaps? edit

I believe the Eating Crow article is misleading, and this article is incorrect as a result. Wilhelm was injured on the last play of the third quarter of the Grambling game. Gonzales was the starter after that. In the Grambling game alone, he threw 12 passes. I believe the nine snaps are the snaps he took in the Fresno State and in the Grambling game before Wilhelm got hurt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilkyisdashiznit (talkcontribs) 05:05, 24 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Since no one has any further comment, I am just going to remove the portion of the article. It's inaccurate, as written. Wilkyisdashiznit (talk) 07:23, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Washington and the Rose Bowl edit

After researching this issue more, it appears that, had Washington beat Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, and the Arizonas would have finished tied in first place. I am very unsure as to what the Rose Bowl selection procedure was in 1985. If someone has it, I can figure it out. I believe UCLA or Washington would go.

Had Washington beat Oregon State, however, they would have only needed a tie in the Apple Cup to go. After they scored a touchdown late in the game, against Wazzu, they went for two and the win but were unsuccesful. So they lost 20-19. Had they beaten Oregon State, the Huskies probably would have kicked the extra point against the Cougars and tied Wazzu. Had Washington defeated Oregon State and tied Wazzu, they definitely would have gone to the Rose Bowl. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilkyisdashiznit (talkcontribs) 08:18, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
