Possible microsburst, windshear accident edit

In view of these investigation statements:

"... evidence was taken from air traffic controllers who agreed that the aircraft had descended on the runway more rapidly than usual,..." And, "...in driving rain when Cathay was about to land at Prestwick; it landed short of the runway..," it sounds like a classic Microburst-Windshear accident. It appears they attempted a landing in the middle of a thunderstorm, much like Delta 191 did, on 850802 [[1]] ("...microburst-induced wind shear...")

Of course, they did not have that kind of tech knowledge in those days, but wondering if it might be placed in the Microburst Category anyway, purely for helping the search of those looking for those kinds of accidents? EditorASC (talk) 06:56, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

unnecessary photo edit

Do we really need a black and white photo of a different aircraft when we have a color photo of the actual aircraft that was involved? Tupelo the typo fixer (talk) 15:04, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
