Notability Dispute. edit

I saw the notability tag added to this article. Personally I would disagree, I think it meets the notability requirements. It was a reasonably large strike. The strike involved atleast +1,200 workers and led to the deployment of 1,400 of the Illinois National Guard. As a transit strike, at a time when that was one of the primary mode of transit it had large impacts. It's also was celebrated by the city a 100 years later and there is plenty of newspaper documentation on the strike from the time. So I think it meets notability requirements and is a lot more notable then many other articles that are allowed. LoomCreek (talk) 17:52, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

One less important aspect is that it involves two different historically significant figures within it. It cant be neatly fit under either of their pages. I think it deserves to be a standalone page. LoomCreek (talk) 19:02, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've since removed the notice since I've added some extra sources to show the notability of the topic and also the lack of response on the talk page. LoomCreek (talk) 01:37, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
