Programme edit

The programme for this game is apparently the most valuable ever due to the small number remaining. Many of those attending were back in the trenches in days and many were found in the pockets of those who died on the battlefields in the coming weeks. I think only seven copies are known to exist with one in the Sheffield United museum. Unfortunately I can't remember where I read / heard this so haven't verified it.Bladeboy1889 (talk) 10:26, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have updated this article using a copy of the programme that is available on one of the external weblinks. I have also noticed that facsimle copies are available on e-bay for about five UK pounds, but genuine copies are indeed several thousand pounds. I have also used the Manchester Gaurdians report extensively and would love it if anybody has access to other newpapers or books could add further details. I hope to add stubs for the remaining red Chelsea players in the next few days Gmac101 (talk) 14:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

According to Chelsea: The Official Biography by Rick Glanvill, (ISBN 0-7553-1466-2) which also mainly relies on the Manchester Guardian for its account of the match, the players were presented with a special silk matchday programme, which may be worth a mention. Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C. or Bradford City A.F.C. edit

This article ambiguously mentions Bradford F.C., this must be either Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C. or Bradford City A.F.C.. Does anyone know which club it is? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 12:41, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
