Fair use rationale for Image:12Songs.jpg edit

Image:12Songs.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Billy Preston edit

From the article The Road to Escondido: "Contained on this album are the final recordings of Billy Preston"

On this article: "The sessions were also the last ever performance by organ player Billy Preston"

Dunno which is right but they cant both be. I'm inclined to think Escondido is right cos it was released a year after this. It doesn't help that neither claim is sourced. Jh39 (talk) 20:43, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Neil's guitar playing edit

Why on earth would they say that "12 Songs" is the first album since the Bang era to feature Mr. Diamond playing his own guitar in the studio? I don't know where this "Neil never played guitar in the studio" nonsense came from, because photographic evidence indicates that Neil did in fact play guitar and have it with him in the recording studio both on his Uni/MCA output and during that era, as does a book about the American Sound Studio in Memphis, and he likely played guitar on the majority of his output for Columbia Records, if not always credited. There is a YouTube video called Neil Diamond Interview + Studio Session 1984 (the overdubbed voiceover is in German) and in the studio footage, he has a C.F. Martin acoustic guitar standing close by his side and there are a couple of Ovations in the background. He was also credited with playing acoustic guitar on his album "Lovescape" and whilst neither "Love at the Greek" nor "Hot August Night 2" credit him with guitar, he is clearly playing it both on the album and in the artwork, so remember: don't believe everything you read or what album credits say.61.69.217.3 (talk) 05:07, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
