Partia and Phrygia edit

Had Çankırı ever been a part of Parthia as it is claimed in the article ? And where are the Phrygians ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:55, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

History edit

The village of İnandık in the district Çankırı (in province of Çankırı) in Turkey was already settled in the Hittite Empire (1750-1200 BC). Artefacts of this settlement are on display in the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations in Ankara. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.242.70.153 (talk) 11:30, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Someone who misunderstood his source had entered some material in "history" I had to edit. He gave BC dates instead of AD for Christian events, thought Deiotarus' father was the god Pollux (they just had the same name), and gave 65 BC as his death date when it was really 6/5 BC, meaning a year including parts of both those years. He seems to have quoted an old Encyclopedia Britannica article, because I found these points when I checked my own old Britannica. Wallace McDonald (talk) 05:45, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
