Darrian Jimenez (born March 8, 2008), known professionally as Sugarhill Ddot, is an American rapper and singer based in New York.

Darrian Jimenez was born in Harlem, New York. He is the only child of his parents.[1][2]

Career edit

On July 10, 2022, Ddot released his breakout single "I Wanna Love You", which sampled singer Akon's 2006 "I Wanna Love You".[3][4][5] He collaborated with rapper DD Osama, appearing on "40s n 9s" off the album Here 2 Stay.[6] "40s n 9ns" sampled Ne-Yo's 2005 classic, "So Sick".[7]

In March 2023, Ddot signed a recording deal with Priority Records to release the single "Let Ha Go".[8][9] Its accompanying music video was released on April 30, 2023.[10] In July 2023, he released "3AM in the Yams", featuring Luh Tyler.[11] He also released "My Baby" in November.[12] Shortly after releasing his second extended play, Make A Mess, he released the single "Shake it".[13] Later that December, Ddot was featured on DD Osama's "Baby Wait."[7] On March 8, 2024, he released "Outside", through Priority Records.[14]
