Succinea putris is a species of small, air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Succineidae, the amber snails.
Distribution
The distribution of this species is Palearctic, in the European-Siberian region, including the following countries and islands:

Habitat
This species lives in very damp places, such as on vegetation on river banks and marshes.
Life cycle
The lifespan of Succinea putris in laboratory conditions is 13-17 months.[7]

Succinea putris with the parasitic trematode Leucochloridium paradoxum inside its left tentacle, making it prey for birds
