Roland B. Gittlesohn (1910–1995) was an American rabbi and author. During World War II, he became the first Jewish chaplain in the United States Marine Corps. After the war, he served on the President's Committee on Civil Rights in Harry Truman's administration. He later served as president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis.[1]
