Rickettsia australis

Rickettsia australis is a bacterium that causes a medical condition called Queensland tick typhus.[1] The probable vectors are the tick species, Ixodes holocyclus and Ixodes tasmani. Small marsupials are suspected reservoirs of this bacterium.[2]
