Rick Burke (musician)

Rick Burke is an Australian psychedelic rock musician, best known as a founding member and songwriter of the instrumental dark heavy psychedelic space rock band Comacozer[1] and his moniker Tropical Sludge for his solo work in electronic music.[2]

Prior to Comacozer, Burke played in various death metal, hardcore and garage bands throughout the years[3] before gravitating towards psychedelic and electronic music with a dreamy and hypnotic resonance.[4]

The vinyl releases of Comacozer are spread across various record labels across the world: Headspin (The Netherlands),[5] Psychedelic Salad (Australia),[6] Copper Feast (United Kingdom),[7] Sound Effects (Greece).[8] and Riot Season (United Kingdom).[9]

The electronic releases of Tropical Sludge are either independent releases or exclusively released on Weisskalt (Australia).[10]

The music composed and performed by Burke has been cited to be geared towards "psychonauts".[11]
