Ramsaday College, established in 1946,[1] is one of the oldest undergraduate colleges in Amta, in Howrah district, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.[2]

Departments and courses edit
The college offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses and aims at imparting education to the undergraduates of lower- and middle-class people of Amta and its adjoining areas.[3]

Science faculty consists of the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Food & Nutrition, Anthropology, and Economics.
Arts & Commerce edit
Arts and Commerce faculty consists of departments of Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, Sociology, and Commerce.
Accreditation edit
Ramsaday College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1] Recently, it has been re-accredited and awarded B grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[4]
