Raúl Ascención Martínez Rodríguez (born April 4, 1987) is a Mexican football midfielder currently playing for Lobos de la BUAP on loan from C.F. Pachuca.

He made his professional debut on July 30, 2005 during a 2-1 win over CF Monterrey.

Raul was also capped from Mexico at the U-23 level during the 2007 Pan American Games.

He is currently on trial with Egyptian giants Al-Ahli.[1]
