QLogic Corporation is an Aliso Viejo, California-based[3] manufacturer of high performance networking equipment, including adapters, switches, storage routers, and ASICs. It also sells QLogic-branded products via distributors to value-added resellers.
History
QLogic was created in 1994 after being spun off by Emulex; the two are now competitors for the Fibre Channel HBA market. QLogic has acquired many companies over the years including Ancor, Little Mountain Group, PathScale, SilverStorm and NetXen. QLogic's original business was disk controllers. This business was sold to Marvell in 2005. QLogic has been led by Chairman H.K. Desai[4] since 1996 and by Simon Biddiscombe[5] as President and Chief Executive Officer between 2010 and 2013[6].
