In my opinion, this DYK section is intended to realise one of several goals:
- Display interesting facts and curiosities related to medicine on the Medicine portal.
- Direct editors to interesting pages. These may be of interest because:
- They need editing.
- They show the particular good work of one or several authors.
- There is an interesting discussion going on on the article's talk page.
