Bikers using the Salt Creek Tunnel along Oregon Route 58 activate a signal to let drivers be aware of their presence in the tunnel.

If this picture looks familiar, it's actually a holdover from 2007. It was nominated twice then and didn't achieve consensus. I still like the photo, so I thought I would try it again now. –Fredddie 03:55, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose per above. Our SAs are supposed to be representative of some of the best photos in our articles. I'm sorry, but this isn't very good in a technical sense for the reasons Dough identified. Imzadi 1979  02:33, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

The start of Indiana State Road 26 at the Illinois border near Ambia.

Never had IN before. Nice countryside pic. Dough4872 01:14, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Meh, the problem with this pic is the blue milepost visually dominates and disrupts the focus of the image. Dave (talk) 00:20, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Maybe crop the image to remove the milepost. Dough4872 03:59, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

The first assurance shield on New Mexico State Road 456 just west of the Oklahoma state line.
  • The only other New Mexico picture ever used was in December, and it didn't actually have anything to do with roads, other than being in an interchange. —Scott5114 [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 12:19, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Meh, not my first choice. The focus of the photo is a leaning "Do not Litter" sign. I'm ok with this; just hard to believe this is the best photo we've got that hasn't been featured. Dave (talk) 15:54, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Nice nighttime city picture. Dough4872 00:36, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
