Coordinates: 21°33′44″S 51°15′38″W / 21.56222°S 51.26056°W / -21.56222; -51.26056 Pacaembu (Portuguese pronunciation: [pakaẽˈbu]) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 is 12,596 and the area is 340.69 km². The elevation is 415 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language. It is also the name of a neighborhood in São Paulo city, where is located Pacaembu stadium.
