Onion Valley, California is located at 39°47′21″N 120°52′10″W / 39.78916769999999°N 120.86949950000002°W near Onion Valley Creek in Plumas County.
It was a Gold Rush community, notable as the site of the first alpine skiing race in the United States[1]
