List of school shootings in Russia

This chronological list of school shootings in the Russia that occurred at K–12 public and private schools, as well as at colleges and universities, and on school buses. Excluded from this list are the following:

  1. Incidents that occurred as a result of police actions
  2. Murder–suicides by rejected suitors or estranged spouses
  3. Suicides or suicide attempts involving only one person.

3 February 2014 Moscow Sergey Gordeyev 2 1 2014 Moscow school shooting: A 15-year-old student shot dead one teacher and one policeman, along with injuring another policeman before being taken into custody.
4 December 2014 Tomsk Tom 0 4 A former student named “Tom” broke into a private gym in Tomsk, injuring four people with a compressed air gun, three students and the director. No one had serious injuries.[2]
20 March 2015 Tomsk Unnamed 0 2 A ninth grader shot two students with a compressed air gun, injuring them both slightly.[3]
5 September 2017 Ivanteyevka Mikhail Pivnev 0 4 9th grade student Mikhail Pivnev, 15, got into a verbal altercation with the science teacher who reprimanded the student for his tardiness and appearance (he was wearing a raincoat, under which he carried a gun). The teacher took him out of the classroom. Pivnev hit the teacher with a meat cleaver and shot her in the face with an air rifle. Then, the criminal began to detonate improvised explosive devices, while shouting threats. Three students jumped from a 2nd floor window and suffered fractures.[4]
21 March 2018 Shadrinsk Vera 0 7 During a class at a school in Chadrinsk, when the teacher was leaving the classroom, a 13-year-old student fired several shots with a compressed air pistol that belonged to her father. As a result, seven 7th graders suffered bruises and abrasions. The victims did not require hospitalization.[5]
10 May 2018 Barabinsk Ilya Ivanistov 1 (the perpertrador) 3 A 16-year-old student at a college in Barabinsk named Ilya Ivanistov shot a student with a double-barreled hunting rifle and then committed suicide, two other students jumped out of the college window trying to escape the shooter.[6]
17 October 2018 Kerch Vladislav Igorevich Roslyakov 21 (including the perpetrator) 67 Kerch Polytechnic College massacre: School shooting and bomb attack committed by an 18-year-old student.
14 November 2019 Blagoveshchensk Daniil Zasorin 2 (including the perpetrator 3 The student Daniil Zasorin, 19, opened fire with an IZH-81 weapon. The criminal also began shooting in the direction of the police, who responded, wounding the shooter. The attacker shot himself, committing suicide. The shooting took place at the Amur College of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.[7]
11 May 2021 Kazan Ilnaz Renatovich Galyaviev 9 23 Kazan school shooting: Ilnaz Galyaviev killed seven students and two teachers in Gymnasium No. 175 and injured 23 others before being arrested.[8]
20 September 2021 Perm Timur Bekmansurov 6 48 Perm State University shooting: Mass shooting committed by an 18-year-old student.
26 April 2022 Veshkayma Ruslan Akhtyamov 5 (including the perpetrator) 1 Veshkayma kindergarten shooting: Four people were murdered before the attacker committed suicide.
26 September 2022 Izhevsk Artyom Kazantsev 19 (including the perpetrator) 23 Izhevsk school shooting: Artyom Kazantsev opened fire at his former school before committing suicide.[9]
13 April 2023 Saint Petersburg Unnamed 0 4 A ninth-grader armed with a Borner PM-X air pistol injured four students at a school in St. Petersburg. The four injured were not seriously injured.[10]
7 December 2023 Bryansk Alina Dmitrievna Afanaskina 2 (including the perpetrator) 5 Bryansk school shooting: A teenage girl shot a classmate dead and injured five people before shooting herself in a school.[11][12]
