Lasgerd Rural District

Lasgerd Rural District (Persian: دهستان لاسگرد) is in the Central District of Sorkheh County, Semnan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Lasjerd.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Sorkheh District of Semnan County) was 2,135 in 693 households.[5] There were 2,157 inhabitants in 719 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,973 in 740 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Sorkheh County.[3] The most populous of its 119 villages was Lasjerd, with 1,024 people.[2]

After the census, Hafdar Rural District was separated from the Central District to establish Hafdar District, with two rural districts and no cities. At the same time, Emamzadeh Abdollah Rural District was established in the Central District.[3]
