Lake Verret is 14,080 acres (5,700 ha) natural lake located in Assumption, Parish, Louisiana, US. The lake is west of Napoleonville, Louisiana, south of Pierre Part, part of the Atchafalaya River Basin of the Lower Mississippi River Region, with 246,000 acres (100,000 ha) of watershed that includes 22,300 acres (9,000 ha) (34.84 square miles (90.2 km2)) in Ascension Parish 104,500 acres (42,300 ha) (163.28 square miles (422.9 km2)) in Assumption Parish and 119,200 acres (48,200 ha) (186.25 square miles (482.4 km2)) in Iberville Parish.[2]

Lake Verret is named after the French Canadian explorer Nicolas Verret (son of Jean Baptiste Verret and Magdeleine Levalle). A historical monument was placed in front of the Assumption Parish Courthouse.[3]
Elm Hall Wildlife Management Area sits on the northeast side of Lake Verret. The lake drains into Grassy Lake, Lake Palourde, the Atchafalaya River, and the Gulf of Mexico
