Khalil Beschir
Khalil Beschir (born 18 June 1983 in Bhersaf, Lebanon) is a racing driver. He is known to be the first ever Arab driver to race in a single-seater World Championship. He raced for A1 Team Lebanon in the A1 Grand Prix series from 2005–06 until 2007–08. He is currently Formula 1 TV pundit for Abu Dhabi Sport TV.[citation needed]. He also manages and help young racing drivers in their racing career through his Motorsport consulting company.

Beschir began racing in 1998 when he went into karting.[citation needed] In 2004 he competed in three race of the Formula Renault 1.6 Belgium. His best finish was 6th at Spa-Francorchamps after starting 32nd on the grid.[citation needed] In 2005 he completed one round of the Italian Formula Three Championship, finishing 11th at Adria. He also finished 13th in the 3000 Pro Series but competed only in five events, with his best finish being 5th starting from 15th.

In late 2005, Beschir began competing in the A1 Grand Prix series. In the inaugural A1GP feature race at Brands Hatch while he was 7th overall, his car rolled at Paddock Hill Bend after making contact with A1 Team Italy's Enrico Toccacelo. His best finish in the series was 8th at Durban in 2008. Beschir was one of only 3 drivers from A1GP to win an award in 2006; he won the award for "Most Extensive Product Testing".[citation needed]
