Jordan Hancock (born August 12, 2003)[1] is an American football cornerback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Early life and high school edit

Hancock was born in Suwanee, Georgia where he attended high school North Gwinnett. In Hancock's junior season he totaled 15 tackles and two interceptions.[2] Hancock originally decided to commit to play college football for the Clemson Tigers.[3][4] However, Hancock flipped his commitment to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[5][6]

College career edit

In Hancock's first career season in 2021, he appeared in three games where he notched two tackles and a pass deflection.[7] Hancock missed the first six games of the 2022 season with a leg injury.[8] Hancock made his first career start in week ten of the 2022 season against Indiana.[9] Hancock finished the 2022 season with five tackles.[10] In week ten of the 2023 season, Hancock notched his first career interception which he returned 93 yards for a touchdown, as he helped the Buckeyes beat Rutgers.[11][12] For his performance against Rutgers, Hancock was named the Thorpe Award National Defensive Back of the Week.[13]
