Joan Costa-i-Font (born 20 September 1974 in Barcelona) is a Spanish-born British economist, specialised in Health economics. He has made important contributions to the behavioral economics and the political economy of health and health care. His work examines the origins and economic consequences of health and economic disadvantage, especially at old age.[1]

Biography edit

He is a Professor of Health Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he leads the Ageing and Health Incetives Lab (AHIL). Previously, he has been Harkness Fellow at Harvard University and a Professor of Economics at the University of Barcelona. He has held research appointments at UCL, Oxford University, Sciences Po, Paris Dauphine and Boston College.[2]
