Jet Le Parti (born 1999[2] in Columbus, Georgia) is an American visual artist, experimental sound artist, and poet. He is based in Brooklyn, New York City, U.S.[3] and Berlin, Germany.[4]

Early life and education edit

Jet Le Parti was born in 1999 in Columbus, Georgia, United States. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied philosophy and cognitive neuroscience.[5][6]

His artistic influences include phenomenology, theoretical sciences such as physics, historical analysis, and existentialism.[7]

Career edit

Le Parti's paintings focus on philosophical themes. He primarily works as an independent artist and exhibits through the gallery initiative in Brooklyn called Base 36.[8]

His paintings include various works in his Melting Blues series,[8] To Be Hung (2022),[9] and others.

Le Parti's work was exhibited in the Veiled Constructions: Dark Perceptions of the Human Experience exhibition at Sotheby's Institute of Art in May 2023.[10][11]

Le Parti's poetry focuses on the existential and philosophical themes that are also present in his visual art.[12]

Le Parti is also a sound artist and experimental composer. His sound art is characterized by minimalist and avant-garde styles that combine drone, ambient, classical, spoken word, and techno genres.[13][14][15]
