James Jarvaise (born February 16, 1924 [1] in Indianapolis, Indiana) is a contemporary U.S. artist in painting and Collage.[2]

Work

He is best known for his "Hudson River" Series (1950–1970) and his "Man in the Room" Series (1955–1975). One such show, Dorothy Canning Miller's "Sixteen Americans" saw his work completely sold out.[3]
