The hoary catshark, Apristurus canutus, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western central Atlantic from the Leeward Islands off Antigua and Anguilla, at depths of between 500 and 1,000 m. Its length is up to 46 cm.
Reproduction is oviparous.
