Hayden dela Santa Kho Jr. (born May 20, 1980) is a Filipino aesthetic medicine doctor, media personality, and entrepreneur.[2][3][4]

Early life and education edit

Hayden dela Santa Kho Jr. was born in the Philippines to parents Hayden Kho Sr., a Chinese doctor, and Irene dela Santa, a Spanish-Filipina businesswoman, on May 20, 1980.[citation needed]

He spent his early years at Grace Christian High School (now Grace Christian College) in Quezon City.[1] Kho pursued his education at the University of Santo Tomas, where he earned his bachelor's degree in medical technology in 2001, and then his medical degree in 2005.[5] He completed his internship at the Makati Medical Center where he also served as president of the interns' association.[6] He earned his medical license in 2007.[7]

Modeling and showbusiness edit

At the age of 16, Kho began his career in modeling, participating in runway shows in locations including New York City, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.[citation needed] In 2007, Kho ventured into Philippine television as an actor, appearing on Celebrity Duets and taking on supporting roles for GMA Network.[citation needed]

Kho became embroiled in a public scandal in 2009. This controversy involved his participation in a sex scandal that garnered widespread attention and became a subject of national interest. Kho was brought to a Senate hearing and faced public trial on national television regarding the matter.[8] The scandal resulted in criminal and civil cases filed against him by one of the involved parties, Filipina actress Katrina Halili, with whom he had partnered in Celebrity Duets.

Medical career edit

Kho was trained in cosmetic medicine at the Belo Medical Group. He was trained in various areas including medial aesthetic procedures such as injectables, lasers and liposuction. He also continued on to pursue training in anti-aging medicine through the European Anti-Aging Medicine Society.

Entrepreneurial endeavors edit

Kho oversaw the distribution of ZO Skin Health medical-grade cosmeceuticals in the Philippines[9][10] and introduced "Hayden Fragrances," a brand of perfumes bearing his name.[11] He established Venn Intelligent Aesthetics in 2017, a venture focused on marketing and distributing cosmetic medicine and surgery cosmeceuticals, instruments, injectables, and devices.[12] In 2021, Kho expanded his business portfolio by making an investment in the Swiss-based watch brand, Vanguart.[13]

Kho holds dual leadership roles as the Managing Director for Belo Medical Group and concurrently as the President of Venn Intelligent Aesthetics.[14]

Kho is a board member for the non-profit RightStart Foundation[15] and supports various other philanthropic causes.[16]

Spiritual and personal life edit

Kho converted to Christianity in 2013. Kho met Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias at an event hosted by the Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF) in Manila.[17] Kho became an active member of the group.[18] Kho attended the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics to study Christian apologetics, where he was tutored by Christian sociologist and author Os Guinness; scientist, mathematician and philosopher John Lennox; theologian and author Alister McGrath; and Jay Smith.

In September 2017, Kho married his long-time partner Vicki Belo, in Paris.[19] In 2018, he continued his studies in Christian apologetics.[20]
