Girl in the Closet is a 2023 American true crime drama television film directed by Jaira Thomas and written by Sa'Rah Jones and Courtney Miller. The film based on the true story of Lauren Kavanaugh, who was locked in a closet for six years and endured physical and sexual abuse.[1][2] It stars Tami Roman as Aunt Mia, Daijah Peters as Cameron, and Remy Ma as her mother, Patricia.[3] The film premiered on Lifetime on March 11, 2023.[4]

Film critic Liz Kocan of Decider gave the film negative review, but praised Tami Roman's performance as sadistic Aunt.[5]
