Gary Timberlake

Gary Dale Timberlake (born August 9, 1948 in Laconia, Indiana) is an American former Major League Baseball left-handed pitcher. He was originally drafted by the New York Yankees in the 2nd round of the 1966 amateur draft. On October 15, 1968, Timberlake was drafted by the Seattle Pilots from the Yankees as the 48th pick in the 1968 expansion draft.

His major league career lasted about a week, starting two games, on June 18 and June 24, 1969, for the expansion Pilots against the lowly Chicago White Sox. Timberlake gave up 16 baserunners (7 hits and 9 walks) and 5 earned runs in just 6 total innings pitched. Neither start impressed Seattle management enough to keep him around, and he became a part of the revolving door the Pilots had between the big club and the minor leagues.

During his lone year in baseball, Timberlake compiled a 0-0 Win-Loss record, 4 strikeouts, and a 7.50 earned run average.
