Frederic M. Scherer
Frederic Michael Scherer (born 1932 in Ottawa, Illinois) is an American economist. His research specialties include industrial economics and the economics of technological change, on which he has many much-cited works.[1] Since 2006 he has been Emeritus Professor of Public Policy and Corporate Management in the Aetna Chair, in the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is also a former chief economist for the Federal Trade Commission.[2]
